my revelation (:

i had a dream.
one would call it a nightmare but no, it's a dream.
God gave me that dream.
it was this dream about my parents quarelling and my dad got so stressed up he commited suicide.
i knw i sound saddistic to call it a dream.
i woke up from tht dream thinking it was a bad bad nightmare too.
i was panting under perspiration and told myself not to think about it.
after all it was just one of them bad nightmares.
it was only until today i realised it was such an inspiring dream.

i was in the food court with some friends for lunch before service and this aunty came to sit down at our table since there were no other seat in the then crowded food court.
thn this man came over and began talking to the aunty.
for a moment i thought this man was a con trying to trick the poor old lady of her money or something like that.
he was asking her how come she was sitting there alone and how's life at home and her family.
typical conman's questions.

until
"conman": you have grandchildren?
aunty: yeah, nine of them.
"conman": whoa! good life!
aunty: thank God!
(all in mandarin)

and the conversation turned to church and Christianity.
so the "conman" was not trying to con the aunty of her money but trying to share Christ with her.
at that point, i was simply surprised but thought not much into it.
until the man left and the aunty began to talk to us.

she asked if we attend church and she told us that she has been attending this cantonese church in chinatown.
tht got us interested and we, like the "conman", began to bomb her with questions
us: aunty, when were you saved?
aunty: just a few years ago.
us: who brought you to church?
aunty: my daughter.
us: aunty how old are you now?
aunty: im old, sixty-eight alrdy.
us: so how old were you when you got saved?
aunty: (after some calculation), sixty-six.
(all in mandarin)
wow. her daughter brought her to church when she was sixty-six.
how much more can we bring our parents to Christ?
i mean old folks that age are known to be stubborn.
our parents arent that old.

we also got curious and asked
us: aunty, how did your daughter bring you to Christ?
aunty: oh, she prayed and prayed for me. night and day she prayed for me. she even got a priest to prophesy over me.
(all in mandarin)

WOW.
but still, at that time, i was simply amazed and slightly more inspired to bring my parents to Christ but there wasnt much second thought to it.

UNTIL SERVICE where things began to piece together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Pastor How was just talking about the overnight prayer meeting and sharing some breakthroughs and miracles with us.
thn it hit me.
i thought of that "nightmare".
what if one day my dad just died before he got to knw my heavenly Daddy?
what if one day my mum just died before she got to knw my heavenly Daddy?
wouldnt tht mean tht i wont get to see them in heaven when I die?
that was why God gave me tht dream.
He wants me to see how scary it is, to see my loved ones die without accepting Jesus into their lives.

a question ran past my mind then.
how am i going to reach out to them?
they dislike me attending church and told me to not get involved in things like Bible study.
they dont even knw tht i serve in church ministries.
thn God answered me.
through the sermon Pastor How preached He answered me.
PRAYERS.
for a miracle to happen, you first have to go into the upper room and Pray Until Something Happens.

prayers does wonders.
never underestimate the power of God.
you too can get your parents saved too. ((:
