last weekend's sermon was way powerful.
way way way powerful.
to the point that that night after service, i had two long discipleship sessions with my sheep.
its so rewarding to see them so serious for God, to receive God's words immediately, to be so open to discipleship.
i'm so blown away by them.
(if shan shan sees this, her ego is probably gna grow bigger but i dont care. she rocks.)

people, living your life behind a mask is nvr going to get you anywhere.
be transparent and open.
true friends are those who tell you about your flaws, not those who know abt them but leave you be.
and im happy to say that i have many many many true friends, leaders and Pastors who really love me, and that's why they correct me over the last two years so that i become who i am today.
pls dont stop correcting me!

i was really touched by how God uses all of us to take the Arts back for His glory.
did you see tht SRJC school feature?

i loved that slide man.
and the singapore in clay video really blew me away.
although it wasnt a video really dedicated to God, it still shows that God can really use young people, and we are the special generation!
i mean check out all the funky stuff they did for Pastor How's birthday celebration.
BANG and ruoen's completely blown away.

such a great honour to be able to serve God..

mrs fung came into class last week and asked us to bring our "outside-school certificates" so that she could help us make our "portfolio" (or something like that) more colourful.
at that moment, the first thing i thought of was my piano cert.
so i was looking for my cert, which was usually filed in a huge blue file, along with all the other certificates awarded to the rest of my family members.
i managed to find some swimming certs and some DISTINCTION (ahem ahem) UNSW and australian maths competition cert.


BUT WHERE DID MY PIANO CERT GO?

goodness. i have no idea.
well at least i have my grade 3 piano and theory certs.
that's usually the minumum criteria for almost anything.
and to think about it, it's seriously there to make the portfolio thicker if it is hard copy, more wordy if it's soft.
it's not like i'm going to be a piano teacher next time.
the closest thing would be the keyboard.
and when do i play keyboard?
to worship my Daddy King!

the Bible says that whatever i play, be in wrong chord, wrong inversion, wrong progression, as long as i dedicate it to God, He thinks its beautiful.
isnt that all that really matters?
well, of course i believe my skills arent that bad.
but God does not look at qualifications or certificates.
GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART.

so i dont think im going to bother looking for that piece of paper anymore.
i'll just give her the grade 3 one.

i play to the audience of ONE.
the One who blessed me with great family, great relationships.
i love my Papa! :)

its 1245am and im still awake.
im surprised cos i only slept 3 hours ytd.
im all geared up to mug for lit tmr.

well i just took a break from mugging and went around looking at various blogs.
thn i realised.
BOY MY BLOG IS STAGNANT.
i was about to say "ohno, mosquitoes come and reproduce how?"
thn i thought it sounded familiar.
HA. i think i could have used tht before.

o levels are coming.
prelims starts next week.
ee loo asked me a trigo question just now
and im made to feel stupid.

i didnt meant for it to come out sounding like a poem.
but well, it just did.
maybe i can be the next ted hughes
and make future students get lit blues.


okay.
o levels eng oral was over and i think its a good start.
makes me feel more confident for the rest of my papers.
not forgetting wht yong xun said, o'levels have to made easier for the less trained people.
so it should be easier than prelims.
now i feel even better, more confident of having more options in Feb 07.

seriously, all the tests and mocks turned me numb already.
i can hardly remember which test is next.
i only know there's no test this friday.

well, im looking forward to 17th nov.
thn i'll be free from the evil thing called o's.
naahh.
o'levels is for you to prove how good you are.
but still, i'll be freed.
cant wait till thn.

like a spring pressed down,
waiting to go wild.

well before tht, i better go back to henry or i'll fail my mock tmr and thn tian will mock me.

yay i am back!
hahaha.
bintan was good and surprisingly not as tiring as i thought it would be.
as promised, we had good rests every night!
DESPITE THE FACT THAT our room was so run down.
thn again, everything's run down there.
their kayak paddles like anytime can fall apart one, their lifejacks have no buckle so you have to fasten it with a small piece of rafia.
never mind, it was fun!
haha.

group 9 rocks like mad.
because got me inside.
hahaha.

for the first time in my life, I CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN!
no joke, a MOUNTAIN, not hill.
i told my dad that when i came home and he went, "really ah! how high?"
thn i realised.
whoa sian, i dont knw how high it was.
ha. shall find out from misslim.

getting to bintan was not fun.
i suffered from motion sickness..
EVEN BEFORE THE FERRY STARTED MOVING.
but coming back wasnt as back.
nahhh.
i still think its the singapore waters.
its really choppy here.
indonesian sea is like so calm.
its like we were having dinner by the seaside and someone actually asked "is that the sea? where is the sea?" because we could hear absolutely no waves.
to think thts where tsunami happened.

oh i just really want to say tht their packet food ROCKS.
its like the best camp food you can ever have.
just that they shld have ordered like a few extra packets for big eaters like me.
HAHA.
even if i dont eat, im sure the instructors would be glad to take the extras.
haha.
they were so jealous of our rooms.
anyway, the packet food is like even better than the bbq/catered dinner we got by the seaside!
but the bbq/catered dinner had nice SOTONGS.

group 9 rocks like mad.

no but really, i think my group rocks.
we were the fastest dragon boat (and mr law still owes us a coke).
we were first for spongebob squeezypants. (okay, we cheated but we were so good at cheating only chicky and isabel knew we were cheating. cant blame us k. we only had ONE sponge. the rest had like 3 each.)

i went shopping!

ah but i think i overspent.
(didnt convert properly and thought i was very rich but actually i wasnt.)
but i love the clothes i bought.
YAY.


green ; hey so sorry for really late reply there. anyway, i seriously think you shld talk to weijie/roy about it. i cant really help you there. and i really do like green but only as a colour. ha.
